I could write a book about the things I’m thankful for, but here in this devotional moment, I am going to share the three main things I am grateful for that have shown me how good God is to someone who never deserved it. 

He invites you, no matter who you are, where you come from, what you have done, or what has been done to you, to a friendship with Him!

You likely know Him as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, your redeemer and savior, but have you ever considered that you could be friends with God?

If you're in God's waiting room asking "How long?", remember: You're not forgotten.

But there was one argument that comes to mind frequently. It isn’t because of what we fought about, because I don’t remember. It was because of how I reacted to it.

Lately, I've been struggling with overwhelming anxiety as my world feels turned upside down. It's been tough to get a full night's sleep or shake off the swelling feelings of unease inside me. Normally, it doesn't take much to remember that God has everything under control, but in these moments, that truth feels distant.

This parable reminds me of a moment from our family’s 2019 Caribbean cruise, a “senior trip” for my kids. In St. Thomas, we wandered without a plan, unlike our usual shore excursions booked through the cruise line, which guaranteed we’d never be left behind.

In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus teaches that hearing His Word isn’t just about listening with our ears—it’s about the condition of our hearts.

This Mother’s Day, let’s celebrate the beauty of nurturing love while holding space for those who carry pain.

First, trust is not easy for a lot of people. Even if it is trusting in God, the creator of the universe, and the creator of you. This is especially true for those of us who have been hurt and let down by others. We have been burned and led to believe no one is trustworthy, especially “with all your heart.”

He wants to know and see more of God’s nature and character. He is not content with his past experiences. He wants his relationship with God to go to the next level.
