Have you ever read the early books of the Old Testament and been surprised by the Israelites’ responses? God had done incredible things for them—freed them from slavery, sent the plagues, split the Red Sea, and led them with pillars of cloud and fire. Yet they struggled...When I reflect on this, I wonder how different I am—and how different we all are.

Joy flows from a right relationship with God, from understanding His character, and from knowing who we are in His sight. It is not accidental or reserved for a fortunate few. We are all invited to participate.

This season is a journey to the cross and the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Easter Sunday. This is a time of reflection and humbling before God, as we realize again that by sending His only Son to die on our behalf, God did something we could not. That is making the way for us to return to a right relationship with Him.
